With a rich history stretching back to the first settlers, the Yarra Valley is not only one of Australia's oldest wine producing regions, but also one of the most diverse, containing large commercial enterprises and small boutique producers. Less than an hour's drive east of Melbourne, the Yarra Valley is home to over 40 wineries and is best known for its success with pinot noir, fine chardonnays and also cabernet sauvignon and shiraz varietals.
Ideally located in this world renowned wine-growing region is Domaine Chandon Australia, producing premium quality Methode Traditionnelle sparkling wines from the classic Champagne grapes, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
The Yarra Valley offers a unique food and wine experience, with many wineries specializing in the foods of the region at the cellar door and adjacent restaurants. Visit a 100-year-old working dairy and sample hand-made farm cheeses. Visit the Produce Store at Yering Station, showcasing produce from the Yarra Valley region and taste at the cellar door of local wineries. Stay overnight in luxury period accommodation at the 5-star Chateau Yering Historic House Hotel (a member of Relais & Chateaux), surrounded by a superb garden of rare trees. Visit Mt Rael Restaurant, high on the mountain overlooking the Healesville Village.

DAY ONE - DETAILS
Transfer from Melbourne/hotel accommodation in luxury vehicle. Private tasting with cheese and fruit platter in the Trophy Room at De Bortoli Winery with wine expert. Cellar door tasting at Immerse Vineyard. Cellar door tasting at Yering Station Winery and visit to the Yarra Valley Regional Food Group Produce Store and Art Gallery followed by a 2 course a la carte lunch at Yering Station Wine Bar & Restaurant including one glass of wine, coffee and tea. Experience French and Italian style hand produced cheeses at the 100-year-old boutique Yarra Valley Dairy with a glass of wine, coffee, tea or locally produced fruit juice. Transfer to Chateau Yering Historic House Hotel to check-in followed by a 3 course a la carte dinner at award-winning Eleonore's Restaurant at Chateau Yering Historic House Hotel including 2 glasses of wine, coffee and tea

2 course a la carte lunch at Mt Rael Restaurant including one glass of wine, coffee and tea. Sparkling wine tasting and gourmet platter at the Green Point Vineyard, Domaine Chandon. Tour of Domaine Chandon (optional). Cellar door tasting at Coldstream Hills Winery and visit to the 'amphitheatre' style vineyards. Return to Melbourne/hotel accommodation.
