Our first stop is the iconic Chandon Yarra Valley. The estate always evokes a gasp of “wow” as we make our way to the tasting room for a Chandon tasting experience. This is a 30 minute tutored tasting, a journey through some of Chandon’s most renowned sparkling wines.

Exceptionally crafted, always excellent, you will explore Chandon’s expertise in the making of méthode traditionnelle as well as the local creativity that goes into our exceptional sparkling wines. 

Stop for Lunch at Soumah

Soumah Winery holds a distinct charm that transcends its acronym – “South of Maroondah Highway.”

This hidden gem is testament to the superior winemaking, rich tradition, and exceptional terroir that makes the Yarra Valley a world renowned wine region for cool climate wine styles Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The rustic charm of the cellar door invites visitors to taste wine and enjoy the panoramic views of vineyards and rolling hills. It’s an idyllic Epicurean Food and Wine Tours lunch stop to enjoy the beauty of the Yarra Valley.

Honored as the Yarra Valley Winery of the Year in 2019 at the prestigious Melbourne International Wine Show, Soumah warmly welcomes visitors to their cellar door and northern Italian-inspired trattoria.

To start your visit to the cellar door, indulge in a wine tasting led by Soumah’s knowledgeable and passionate staff. Afterwards, you can relax and take the time for a delightful lunch accompanied by a glass of your preferred wine at Ai Fiori Trattoria. From this vantage point, you can take in the sweeping vistas of the vineyard’s rolling hills and the majestic Warramate Hills, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to your tasting experience.

After lunch we head to Healesville, the home of Four Pillars Gin Distillery and where all the magic is made!

The Four Pillars distillery is a place where tradition meets innovation, where the art of distillation is elevated to a whole new level.

Here we can sit and enjoy a Gin Tasting Paddle featuring 4 gins with a chosen mixer. The gins chosen are staples and signature gin styles of Four Pillars.
