Your day on the Mornington Peninsula with Mornington Peninsula Wine Tour Yabby Lake Wine Tasting starts at 10am with transfers from Melbourne City hotels and accommodation. You will be met by a friendly local guide who is delighted to share their love of food and wine with you.
We have chosen the very best dining experiences and wine tasting events specifically designed for a small group (max 6 guests). The 2 course menu is perfectly paired with estate grown wine. Two premium wine tasting events have been chosen to be in depth, relaxed and well paced so you have a connection with the region, the winery and the wine.
Arriving back to your accommodation at approximately 530pm[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Yabby Lake was established by the Kirby Family (of Village Roadshow) in 1988 who have been land owners on the Mornington Peninsula for several decades. With Jimmy Watson Trophy winner, (Pinot Noir 2014) Tom Carson at the winemaking helm Yabby Lake and Red Claw wines here are consistently highly awarded and wines that have a strong connection with the seasons.
Yabby Lake has a philosophy of crafting single vineyard and single block wines with an intuitive approach that captures the spirit of the seasons.
The cellar door is bright and welcoming with the design taking full advantage of the fantastic views with large windows looking over the decked area.
Your Premium wine tasting at Yabby Lake also includes the special Heathcote Estate single estate Shiraz. Heathcote Estate is also owned by the Kirby family, bought with the intention of producing a single vineyard and single block shiraz of exceptional quality.
Set on a site with wonderful vineyard views, keep your eye out for some kangaroos through the vines. You can also take the time to admire the captivating art works and large scale sculptures inside the cellar door and restaurants and on the grounds of the largest single vineyard estate on the Mornington Peninsula with 120 acres under vine.
