Today, Epicurean Food and Wine Tours hosted two lovely guests from Brazil on their very first trip to Australia, before they continue on to visit New Zealand. Our journey began with a scenic drive from Melbourne City down to the Mornington Peninsula, where rolling vineyards and coastal views set the perfect tone for the day.

Our first stop was Quealy Winemakers, one of the Peninsula’s pioneering producers known for their cool climate Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Here, our guests enjoyed an intimate tasting, learning about the region’s unique terroir and winemaking traditions from passionate cellar door staff.

🥂 Lunch and Wine Tasting at Merricks General Wine Store

Next, we arrived at the charming Merricks General Wine Store for a leisurely lunch. This historic venue is a local favourite, serving up seasonal dishes that pair beautifully with regional wines. With its warm country feel and award-winning wine list, it was the ideal place to unwind and soak in the Mornington Peninsula atmosphere. You have to check out the amazing desserts!

🗿 Sculpture Walk at Pt Leo Estate

After lunch, we continued to the stunning Pt Leo Estate, where the blend of world-class art and sweeping coastal views never fails to impress. Our guests took a self-guided sculpture walk, discovering monumental pieces set against the backdrop of Western Port Bay — a true highlight of the day.

🌄 Return via Arthurs Seat & Eureka Skydeck Drop-Off

We returned to Melbourne via the seaside towm of Flinders for a walk along the Pier and then back via Arthurs Seat, pausing to admire the panoramic views across Port Phillip Bay. To finish off their day in style, we dropped our guests at Eureka Tower, where they enjoyed the Skydeck experience — the highest observation point in the Southern Hemisphere.
