Your small group wine tour on the Mornington Peninsula includes a wonderful wine tasting event at Quealy Winemakers. At this premium wine tasting event you will meet winemakers and passionate cellar door staff who are love the region and the wine produced at Quealy.
The Quealy family is an icon in the Australian wine world and the wine here tells you why very quickly. Quealy enchant and delight with the wide array of high quality wines produced. The cellar door is located in the Mornington Peninsula township of Balnarring. The all timber room is lined with tens of their bottles with standing and tasting room for groups or just a pair. Tom, the son of owner Kathleen Quealy, runs this winery and the many vineyards attached including Kerri Greens. Pinot Noir is King at Quealy with several of different clones and sites. The Campbell & Christine is perfectly balanced, Seventeen Rows is their number one, and Rageous is a sangiovese-pinot noir-shiraz blend that is a cellar door favourite with an interesting story attached. Of course, there are whites too, with a fantastic sparkling (Secco Splendido) and Pinot Grigio.
Kathleen Quealy and Kevin McCarthy are the extraordinary husband and wife wine making team at their very popular winery on the Mornington Peninsula. This cellar door is most frequently described as authentic with a bonafide cellar door leading to the barrel room and amphora tanks that is only used by a couple of wineries on the Mornington Peninsula. A down to earth representation of the Mornington Peninsula wine region.
Quealy’s experience of Italian wine-making tradition has inspired Secco Splendido, Pobblebonk, Pinot Grigio and little-grown Friulano variety.
