If you are looking for a Melbourne Shore Excursion, this is a perfect day tour for you. This shore excursion has been designed so you can relax and travel at an easy pace while taking in interesting sights and savour food and wine. You will soon get an idea of why Melbourne is considered to be the most liveable city.

We stop to see the historic bathing boxes where you can take photos and walk along Brighton beach
We then move on to Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park where you are free to wander the grounds and feed kangaroos and take advantage of the many photo opportunities and listen to Ranger presentations
The Mornington Peninsula is just over an hour from the Port of Melbourne and the region where you can sit back and enjoy lunch with wine at a popular winery destination. The Mornington Peninsula offers breathtaking views of Port Phillip and Western Port Bays.
Before returning to Port we will head to the beautiful city of Melbourne and view some popular sights where the guide will talk about the interesting history of the City.
Melbourne Shore Excursion
- First Stop is to Brighton Beach where you can view the iconic bathing boxes and walk along the beach
- Next stop is Moonlit Sanctuary where you will be able to feed kangaroos and see several much loved Australian animals
- A 2 course lunch with wine is hosted at a famous Mornington Peninsula winery. This visit includes a wine tasting of premium wines
- Venture back to the city centre for a driving tour of Melbourne City Sights including the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Yarra River, Federations Square and Queen Victoria Market
- Return to Station Pier Port Melbourne in comfortable time for your departure

Epicurean Food and Wine Tours provide private and public tour options to Melbourne City Centre and surrounds. This is a proposed itinerary where the guests are picked up directly from the Port.(Station Pier)
Visitors to Melbourne can enjoy a Melbourne Shore Excursion that is a fun filled day that explores the local character, taste and vibrancy of this great city. Your tour is designed to provide guests with an insight into the beauty of Melbourne as we stop at the beach to view the famous bathing boxes, visit Australian Wildlife and enjoy a lunch at a winery at a world class wine region, the Mornington Peninsula. We finish the day with the sights of Melbourne including the sporting precinct and return you to Station Pier at your requested time.
Melbourne Shore Excursion Proposed Itinerary
8am Pick up from Port (Station Pier Port Melbourne)
815am Travel to Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park via beach suburbs, Black Rock, Sandringham, Brighton and include a beach stop at Brighton Bathing Boxes. (Free activity)
Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park
10am-11.30am Moonlit Sanctuary, located 60 minutes south east of Melbourne is 25 acres of Australian wildlife. Feed kangaroos, Koala encounter (subject to timing) Meet wombats, dingoes and walk the beautiful grounds. Winner of the Victorian Tourism Awards in Ecotourism. Entry and any scheduled animal encounters available in the allocated time at your expense.
12.15-2pm Lunch at leading Mornington Peninsula winery, including cellar door wine tasting. Mornington Peninsula has three sides of water defining its location. Sea Breezes influences its maritime cool climate and fine food, wonderful wine and olive all are all produced here.
Stillwater at Crittenden’s Mornington Peninsula or Yabby Lake Mornington Peninsula
3pm Arrive to Melbourne City Centre and Sporting arenas for sightseeing commentary including National Galley of Victoria, Queen Victoria Market, St Paul’s Cathedral, Federation Square, Flinders Street Railway Station, Melbourne Cricket Ground and Rod Laver Arena Tennis Centre. Please note travel time from lunch to Melbourne City is approximately 55 minutes.
5pm Return to Port (Station Pier Port Melbourne) 5kms from City Centre
All times are approximate and set to allow adequate time for each activity. The decision can be made on the day to lengthen or shorten time spent at each venue.
